Hi I have just recently learned how to sew and I would love to make the dress that you are wearing. I was just wondering if you made the dress from a pattern and if you did what was the pattern?
I look forward to seeing what you come up with next!
My dear friend Karen and I designed the dress together and then she made it for me. Keep checking back…we may be offering the dress at the end of the project….
I found your project today. What an amazing idea! I’d love to implement something like that in mine and my daughters wardrobe. Have you given any thought to selling the dress pattern as another way to raise more funds? I would love buy the pattern in both women and children sizes. It would be fantastic to make a couple of these. Then we could use our more of our clothing budget to give to orphan care! May God bless your efforts!
Hello wonderful person! So glad you came by. We have given it some thought as to making a pattern to sell but no final decisions yet. Keep checking back!
As a person who can’t sew, I’d be interested in buying a dress made in my size. You should totally have a store with the pattern and the actual dress and use that money for the orphans!
Also, have you sent out press releases about this to people/newspapers/magazines? I posted this to Seventeen magazine because I think they’d be really interested in it.
I have sent a press release out to different people/newspapers/magazines but I haven’t done as much as I would have liked! Thank you SO much for posting this to Seventeen magazine! I appreciate you spreading the word about the project. Only a short time left!
Love what you are doing!!! Thank you so much. My husband and I (& 3 kids) spent a year over in Cambodia helping with the orphanages sponsored by Warm Blankets. What an amazing organization! So glad to see you are doing this project and helping to support them.
Wow, thank you for your service to others. It is inspiring! Warm Blankets is a great organization. Love how they help so many. Thank you for your support! It means so much to me.
you always say “clothing borrowed from michelle” who is michelle? i really like some of the stuff from that source and want to know where i could get it… ?
Michelle is a dear friend of mine. I am glad you like her things (I borrowed them from her closet) but unfortunately she bought all those items a while ago and you wouldn’t even be able to find them if I told you where she bought them. She does frequently shop at Jcrew, Anthropologie, Fossil and similar stores. Hope that helps!
Yours is a very worthy plight. Our older daughter did a similar project of her own seen on the above web site. She also got her idea from your inspiration THE UNIFORM PROJECT. Her name is Tyler Mackie and I am sure she would love to talk to you. You girls are very creative with great hills to climb, many blessings.
Wow that is really amazing! Yes The Uniform Project is one of the most inspiring projects I have ever come across that is also a fun way to raise money. Since I’m almost done it would be interesting to talk with your daughter about how she felt after she was finished!!! I hope the transition goes smoothly for me….
Thanks for stopping by and commenting. Blessings to you!
I started following your project about two weeks into it and I love what you are doing! I am a fashion design major and, as a Christian, I want to use my career to make a difference for something that truly lasts (as well as provide stylish and modest clothes). I love how you are using your fashion to do this! Many blessings for the rest of your project!
Hi Alison! Eeee!!! I love it when I find out people have been following the project. Thanks for leaving a comment and for your encouragement. It is such a blessing. I’d love to hear more about what you are doing! xxx
I am not going to sell the one I have worn for the 100 days (I’m too attached) but we may sell something later on… not really sure at this point. Thanks for following the project!!!!
Hello!
I have been following yur blog since Alex posted that video. I think that it is a really cool idea. Forgive me if you have already posted it, but where did you get your inspiration (or idea) to wear 1 dress 100 different ways?
Praying for you!
In Christ,
~Madeline~
What you are doing is a wonderful reflection of the heart of God towards His children. I am honored to be a small part of what you have accomplished. It looks like you had fun as well.
I am so blessed to be a part of what God is doing. Thank you so very much for contributing to orphans and for joining me in this endeavor to give these precious children a hope and future. You just made a difference in their lives. And yes I have had fun!
Elaini,
First off, let us say how wonderful we think it is what you have done! We are all so fortunate to have in our world people like you who care.
We do realize that you are now done with your 100 days, but we still have some money for you that we have collected from a bottle drive. Is it too late? Can we still send the funds to the address listed above? We will warn you, it is coming from Canada, so might take a while.
Thanks for answering our questions, and again, keep up the great work!
Prayers,
Soleil & Leanne

I would really love to buy that pattern, so if you decide to sell it, how will you let it be known?
If we do I would let people know on the blog so keep watching!
As a non-sewer I would buy the dress itself if you end up selling any!
I love what you are doing! Love the dresses too…I want the pattern too its so hard to find style and modest these days. LOVE IT. Praying for you!

I think wearing a dress for 100 days is a great idea. I really liked the video that I found on the Rebelution blog.
I’m glad you like the idea. Wasn’t mine but I’ve been grateful to use it.
Thanks for stopping by!
