Thank you Elaini for your persistence in broadening awareness for these beautiful children! I am praying that God would bless you with your goal of $50,000 by day 100 :) Keep up the good work! Do you think you would try to go 365 days with one dress? You’ve made it this far ;)

    • misselaini says:

Hi Anna! Thank you for your encouragement. Yes I hope we meet the goal and help even more children!
I have definitely thought about going for a year…but I don’t have enough stuff to borrow to add to it…and its a lot of work…! I honestly don’t know.

  2. Mykah says:

Elaini, you have inspired me greatly. Thank you for giving a little that God will turn into much. You are doing a wonderful thing, helping these children. May God bless you and keep you safe. To God be the glory! :-)

  3. If I donate using the link above, will you know that it was in response to your project?

  4. Ruthiey says:

You are beautiful, inside and out, Miss Elaini. I’m excited to be a part of this project and I love your courage and determination. <3

  5. Mykah says:

Congrats on reaching day 100! Keep up the wonderful work! I wish I could see how this project has helped the children of India. Great job! :) <3

    • misselaini says:

Thank you! I am excited to see what God will continue to do. And yes I wish I could see too! I’m praying that I can go see what we have accomplished so that I can show everyone pictures.. :D

  6. Lauren says:

Elaini, This is such a wonderful idea. And your style! Makes me want to run to anthropologie! Instead, I think I’ll contribute the price of an anthro dress to Warm Blankets. Hoooooray! Warm wishes, Lauren (your cousin Joe’s fiance)

    • misselaini says:

Lauren I want to give you a hug! You are so sweet and I am excited that Joe is marrying you! Congratulations!!! We get to be cousins. :D Thank you SO much for donating and for sacrificing a shopping trip to Anthropologie…I love that store so I know the draw it has!!!

      • Lauren says:

Hooray for cousins! :D You’ll have to come visit us sometime– if not for the wedding (where we’d barely get to say hello, as Joe and I will be pushed and pulled everywhere), then another time!!

I’ve seriously been showing everyone I know, especially those who like fashion. They are all so impressed (and I’m hoping they’ll donate). We all want that dress!

What an amazing and creative way to help others. Talk about using the gifts and talents that God gave you! I check back about every 5 minutes to see if any more money was raised, haha. I feel like I’m on the edge of my desk chair, right next to you. Praying fiercely for you and for the orphans!

        • misselaini says:

:D Yes that would be lovely and you are always welcome here!
You are incredible! Thank you for telling everyone about it. That really blesses me. :) I too hope they donate!
Yes a lot of people want the dress but I’m not sure what to do about that. I wish I could have them made but that’s pretty crazy…
God really has blessed me immensely and I am grateful that Sheena did this project before me and paved the way.
You are just too cute! I know how you feel because I keep checking my email every 5 minutes to see if I have any more donation updates from Warm Blankets. haha!
I really appreciate your prayers. :D Sending you LOTS of hugs!!!

          • Jessica says:

            Hi Elaini!
My Mum, sister Nomi and I really enjoyed checking up your updates every couple of days to see what you had been up to! You did an amazing job, as well as everybody involved in the project!

I’d love to donate, but when I went to Warm Blankets to donate it didn’t work because I’m in Australia and it didn’t like the whole international thing (specifically, I think it was the credit card). Is there another way for me to donate, or did I do something wrong?

My Mum suggested (and I can understand if this wouldn’t work!) that you unpick one dress and make it into a pattern. Just an idea… :)

            God bless!
            Jess

          • misselaini says:

Hello Jessica! I am so glad you lovely ladies like the blog. :)
I’m thrilled you want to give to these sweet children. Thank you! The link should work even though you are in Australia. I have had other readers donate from there so just make sure that you click the button for what country you are from. If that doesn’t work then please let me know and we can figure something else out! :) There are a few other options although not quite as fast. Thank you SO very much!

            Thanks for the suggestion!

          • Jessica says:

Thanks MissElaini – I’ll try again!

          • misselaini says:

Oh good! I hope it works and if not you can always send cash or a check. Just let me know and THANK YOU! :D

    That’s a cool project there! I just gave $50…

  8. Elise says:

    Hi Elaini,

As promised in the email I sent you a few days ago, I made my donation as soon as I got back from my trip. I decided to do it by credit card instead of a check so you would get it right away. Your whole project has been amazing! The selflessness and dedication you have shown will not only be a blessing to the orphans in India, but has been inspiration for “ordinary” people like me by showing that a little creativity can go a long way toward making a big difference. Congrats on a job well done!

    Blessings,
    Elise

    • misselaini says:

Elise you are AMAZING. Thank you so much. I can’t tell you how much your email and generosity blessed me. Truly I am so grateful. And dear I am just an “ordinary” girl myself. The only special thing about me is that I love Jesus and am his daughter. :) If you have a dream to do something crazy then go for it!! You never know how you just might surprise yourself. ;) Thank for your support!!! I wish I could meet you and give you a hug…

  9. Mykah says:

Hi Miss Elaini! I was hoping to hear what your doctor said. I was praying for you throughout the day yesterday. Hope you got a good report. You’re in my prayers! Keep up the good work!
2 Corinthians 12:9 says, “But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”
Even if you got a less-than-happy report, God can still-and will-work through you. God bless you. Keep updating!

  10. Edie Vickers says:

    Elani,

You are an inspiration. Keep up the good work.

    Doing great!

  12. Alesha says:

    Hey Elaini,
Is there an address that I can send my donations to by mail? It would make it much more convenient for me.
I love your project and I love your cause! You and the children are in my prayers =) Keep representing Jesus!

    • misselaini says:

Hello Alesha! Yes you can send it to this address but you must make sure to mark that it is for the 100 days misselainious project otherwise it will not be added to the total. Thank you SO very much!!!!

  13. Sara Beth says:

Wow. I think your cause is absolutly amazing. I have a HUGE heart for orphans. Huge. I love them. With my schedule and me being {only} 14 years old, it’s hard for me to do very much.
The bible says we are suppossed to take care of orphans (and widows) in their distress. I believe that whole heartedly. I would LOVE to donate to your cause. I am in a hury at the time I am writing this comment, so I cannot donate at this very moment. But, I will try to as soon as possible!
    Thanks,
    Sara Beth

    • misselaini says:

Hello Sara! I love that you love orphans. :) “Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.” 1 Tim. 4:12
      Thank you! God bless you.

  14. Emily says:

Emily, THANK YOU! I really, really appreciate it. Thank you for your generous gift and for blessing a child who needs care and love.
May God richly bless you as you have so freely given. :D
