You know that plate of dinner that you REFUSED to eat. Your mom stood looking over your shoulder as you stared dejectedly at your plate of (fill in blank) and said something along the lines of, “You should be grateful. Starving children in China would be thrilled to eat your plate of (fill in the blank)”. Let’s be honest. Actually here’s me being honest. It’s way easier for me to get in my car, drive to the store, and get my favorite ice cream with my awesomer (that’s his word) cousin than it is to hear about starving children. It can seem so distant and let’s be real, ice cream is a delight to the taste buds. Yet the pleasure is short. If you donate 10 dollars today you will have helped provide meals for 2 children for a MONTH!!!! So…3 meals a day x 30 days in a month x 2 children = 180 meals. Just 10 dollars can do all that. Now wouldn’t that make you feel better for longer knowing your ten dollars provided 180 meals? Please give today so these darling children won’t have empty little tummies.

I LOVE the outfit!!!!! But now I am craving some Coconut Bliss. And I don’t even have to get in the car or bring my awesomer cousin … I can just walk the three blocks to the co-op myself …. *tempted* ….
But I won’t! It astounds me that purchasing a few moments (remember how fast we downed that ice cream?) of sugary pleasure could instead feed 2 children for a month. I can barely grasp the differences between our cultures. Thanks for the reminder!
It astounds me too…
I read about what you are doing on the Radical Womanhood blog and I think it is a beautiful thing and SO creative! So far, you have made wearing the same two dresses look not only easy, but beautiful, fashionable and functional. I love the cause and pray you get much support!

Thank you for stopping by! I am glad you like all the outfits and actually although I have two dresses I have only been wearing one…and washing it. I am so grateful for your support!
Love this one Elaini. Hey. I miss you. Hope we see you on Sunday. Praying for lots of support to come in for the orphans. Keep up the good work! You’re doing a great job. =)
