{Day 281}

If I could figure out a way to eat pure color I would.  To say that I like color would be an understatement.  Rich, vibrant jewel tones can leave me mesmerized.  I have been known on more than one occasion to sit and stare at something that has a dazzling hue and make everyone else around stop and acknowledge it too… The fact that I can see color is such a gift (although I have to admit that I’m just a bit envious of a little sea creature that can see quite a few more colors than I can…a shrimp.  You heard me right).  Wait this is about thankfulness!  So here goes the second installment of my Thankful30 challenge.

Day 2:  Right now where I live the trees are aflame with color.  They are dressed in fashion with passionate reds, fiery oranges, and golden and lemon yellows.  And some trees have all the colors at the same time! ::Gasp of happiness::  Grateful for colors and the leaves showing them off to perfection.

    I am thankful for the sky. I get quite giddy about it sometimes. The sky is God’s special constantly changing painting that He has made just for me! (and everybody else too) The grey’s and blacks and whites… the blues and brilliant reds and oranges… towering clouds and far off rain… and the wet drops kissing my cheeks and tickling my tongue. The starry night and shimmering rainbows and slanting sun rays and soft grey blankets (others call it overcast with a sigh, but I see it differently)

    I do the same with the sky as you do with colors. 🙂 Some people think I’m strange or smile “uh-huh” when I tell them to look up, however I don’t care. The sky is one of God’s many masterpieces and I’m so thankful for it.

      Colleen, thank you for sharing. That is beautiful. And if I was with you then I would happily look up at the sky and marvel alongside of you. (I too think of overcast skies as cashmere grey blankets!) God really does put on a spectacular show with the sky. 🙂
