I stretched out my thin arm and laid it on the rest of the chair. A nurse took a stretchy band and wound it tightly above my elbow. As a child I used to watch the process but once the sliver of metal is prepped I now look away. I catch my breath and exhale as it slides into my vein. Bright cherry red cells swirl into the slender glass vial. Leviticus 17:14 says this, “For the life of every creature is its blood: its blood is its life…” Yes, the beautiful rich scarlet that runs through my body carries oxygen, nutrients, and thus…life. Someday the plasma and cells will lie quite. The life will have flown and all that will be left is a figure…and what we have done for or to others. I want to make every doughnut shaped cell count. Do you? What will you do with the life you have been given? Will you reach out to another suffering life and bless them? Please help the orphans. Their lives count.

Another favorite look today, Elaini – and your comments are especially meaningful. Thank you for your diligence to share each day…… my prayers continue for strength and encouragement.
You are so encouraging Sandi. Thank you!
So exciting to see what God is doing in and through you. You are such an inspiration to us all.
All to His glory!
Amen! All for God’s glory. 😀
Elaini, I really like this outfit, all of it, down to the shoes even! This is one of my favorites. Who’d ever think of a dress as a skirt? You’re doing a great job. And you’re beautiful! Your writing about the blood and the plasma touched a familiar note with me. I donate plasma, for which I get paid. It saves lives and I earn a little extra needed income. I will pledge to you the money I receive from my next plasma donation. Should happen tomorrow or Monday, but I’ll dedicate it to you. To God be the glory for your efforts for the orphans.
That is so beautiful. Thank you. I am very blessed by your comment. You are very creative in your giving and I LOVE it! Thank you for acting on your beliefs to help others. It is inspiring to me. Yes, may God receive ALL the glory!!!
Vous, ma chère, sont ravissantes! J’aimerais valser à travers les rues de Paris avec vous!
Translation please? 🙂
Cheri!
God bless you!
Heidi’s translation:
“You, my dear, are gorgeous! I would waltz through the streets of Paris with you!”
Thought this was so adorable and deserved a translation even after all this time.:)
Ooo I like that so much! I’m SO glad you gave me the translation even after all this time! 🙂
