Two steps up the bunk bed ladder put me directly in front of an inquisitive little face. Reaching out I gently pushed back the hair that fell on the downy cheek laying against the cotton pillowcase. Soft doe eyes stared back at me from under long lashes and a little voice asked me to sing. So I pulled the sheets up under her little chin and she waited patiently while I thought of a song. “Jesus loves me this I know, for the Bible tells me so. Little ones to him belong they are weak but he is strong.” That song came to mind as well as, “Jesus loves the little children, all the children of the world. Red and yellow, black and white they are precious in his sight Jesus loves the little children of the world.” A warmth filled my heart as I pondered that the orphans in India in the two homes we helped start now have someone to tuck them into a soft bed at night and sing them to sleep. Oh yes, Jesus loves those weak, little, precious ones. And so do I.

Probably my favorite-est look you’ve done.
Ha ha Holly … because it’s all black! 🙂
🙂 Yes she would like this one. 🙂 Good point Heidi!
Hey now! And I like the accessories. 🙂
I am glad you like it! I love the simplicity of it. 🙂
When I look at my nephews and niece and see in them the orphans in India – they are all precious and lovely children – it lends such an authenticity to the orphans’ plight! Thanks for the reminder!
That is a beautiful thought Heidi. Thank you for that… 🙂
Wow, this is beautiful! As are you and this wonderful cause! 🙂 Your outfit is very Audrey. Kudos.
Megan that is very sweet of you. 🙂 Thank you! And yes we were going for Audrey here. 🙂
~love this styling of the dress!

Glad you like it! 🙂
Your posts and accessorizing have only gotten better and better as the days have progressed. How do you do it? Brilliant!
That is due to all the awesome people helping me!!! 😀
And P.S How did you do this to this dress? Gorgeous.
We flipped the dress “backwards” and then let out the waist (there is a string inside the dress that allows me to adjust the width) and then Karen just helped me make pleats/darts. Those are earrings that are on the front. 🙂
I don’t know anything about fashion. But I thank you for you heart for the poor children in India. My wife, Sharon, and I are also involved in helping children there. Where, in India are the homes you helped start?
Hello Mike, thank you for your encouragement. The homes are in Anhdra Pradesh. Blessings on you and Sharon for serving these children!
Thank you for the blessings. We are helping support an orphanage in Jangaon, Andhra Pradesh in a small way. Once I visited there in 2007 and was right there, looking into the eyes of some of those children, I was never the same (thank you Jesus). It has really changed my whole life perspective. I wish everyone could do that. The world could change.
Wow that’s wonderful and it made me smile that you already support children in this area. I am jealous that you had the opportunity to go… Yes seeing these children does change your perspective for the better!
I love this! Totally Audrey Hepburn.
Yay! That’s what we wanted. If only I had her charm… 🙂
