Today is a very special day for me. I get to celebrate the most amazing woman I have ever met. She is my best friend, teacher, and counselor. When things are rough she cries with me. Every day she makes me laugh out loud. Yes, ALL the time. The moments I need a hug she is there to hold me. We finish each others sentences. During long seasons of illness she nursed me and went above and beyond the call of duty. This incredible, beautiful woman has laid down her life for me. She loves Jesus and has taught me what a personal relationship with him looks like. What can I say to honor her? Words seem trite. I can never be thankful enough for her. Why? Because she is my mom. Mother, I love you. SO VERY MUCH.
Thinking about my mom causes me to reflect on these orphans we are raising money for. They don’t have a mom OR dad. My heart bleeds for them and I pray that we can show them love by sending some of our “treasure” to them however small the amount may be. To all you mothers out there…Happy Mother’s Day!

Cute outfit today. Can someone come coordinate my clothes??? 😉 Sweet post about your dear mom. It made me cry. You are blessed and so is she! Love you both.
Just like Dorrie, your post about your mom made me cry. Because I know how much she has loved you all these years and the incredible sacrifices she has made for you. And yet, I know that she would gladly to it all over again, if need be, because she loves you so very much. She is an amazing mother, woman, friend.
And you are blessed.
My darling daughter, yes, you made me cry too! I’m undeserving of your kind words. I’m fortunate to have the example of my own dear self-sacrificing mother and the love and strength of a God who made the ultimate sacrifice of his life for me. May we continue to have many more years of tears and laughter together. Hopefully more laughter than tears. 🙂 I love you and I’m so proud of you.
So glad everyone is crying now!!!
I didn’t mean to make everyone cry!!!
What a sweet tribute to your mother! Godly mothers are often under-celebrated. I am challenged to more often honor my mother verbally.
This is one of my favorite outfits yet!
L O V E this outfit! Especially the yellow. 🙂
Didn’t get to my computer yesterday… LOVE the yellow and white with the black. A knockout combo and so fun!
Love the yellow! The hat is so cute!
