So. Very. Excited!!! While I don’t get to go on school field trips anymore the trip to the fabric store sure felt like one. A very good one. I even went with my teacher. My past sewing teacher that is (and friend who might as well be family). Rows and rows of colorful bolts of fabric (and some that looked like tar…not even joking) covered the massive sized store. Really do we need that many choices?? I guess so…. Anyways so we looked through black fabric after black fabric and we found the one. Yes the one to make the dress. This may sound crazy but it felt a bit surreal. Just wow, I am really doing this. So I guess this means the trip was successful. Oh except for the fact that we only got enough buttons for one dress. Hmmm, problem. Looks like another “field trip” is in store!

{Thankful in everything}
Sitting here with a tissue stuffed up my nose isn’t exactly the most fabulous thing. Possibly funny for anyone that sees me but definitely NOT cute. There are times when I wish that we used pretty little hankies when the sniffles and sneezes commence but since my nose has decided to try its hand at being a flowing water spigot….well let’s just say I would like to keep things at sanitary as possible. Besides the fact that my sneezing resembles violent storm winds, I am blessed to have warm liquid steaming from my tea cup. In the midst of this crazy life my health often decides to slow me down whether I like it or not. So instead of fighting it I am going to be grateful that I can rest and just…breath. So today I am thankful for funny tissue boxes, lavender tea, and cousins that say I sound like a woodcock bird. What are some things that you are thankful for today?
{Not by my strength…}
Do not pray for tasks equal to your powers. Pray for power equal to your tasks.
~Phillips Brooks
This quote has been running through my head at a furious rate lately. With the daunting task of truly launching this project still ahead of me I need to be reminded to pray for strength…..lots and lots of it. May you too have strength for the tasks set before you.
{You’ve Got Mail}
It’s that time of the year when there seems to be copious amounts of pink and red hearts and a flurry of valentines being sent. When I was a little girl my older sister would pull out the paint, stickers, and those wonderful, glittery sparkles and we would snip, glue, and create to our hearts content. This year I swished my paint brush, painted cards, and then ran after the mailman (literally) so that I could send a little note to those who might not get one. Make sure to express your love today to the ones you care about, because really, everyone should hear those words “I love you.”

{black on white}
Such a pure white. Untouched and without a spot. BLANK. That page that stares back at me. Crisp and almost impertinent it calls to be written on. I hesitate…and then it comes. Words. Meaning.
There is ONE word above all words and it has captured me. The WORD that became flesh. That WORD is writing my story. I hope you will be a part of my story. This adventure I have started and I can’t wait to share with you. Will you come on this journey? Oh I hope you will.
{my love}
I have been SEIZED by the POWER of a GREAT affection!
{Let’s start at the very beginning}
Yikes! My heart just skipped a beat. For the girl who has never had a Facebook page or twitter, a blog is a big step. I am excited and freaked out all at the same time but I am looking forward to this adventure. Will you join me on this crazy ride??
