~Courage is not simply one of the virtues, but the form of every virtue at the testing point. C. S. Lewis
~It is curious that physical courage should be so common in the world and moral courage so rare.
Mark Twain
~Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.Β Β Β Β Β  Winston Churchill
~We gain strength, and courage, and confidence by each experience in which we really stop to look fear in the face… we must do that which we think we cannot.
Eleanor Roosevelt

P.S.Β  This skirt came from a huge dress I found at Goodwill.Β  Chopped it and sewed it different and WA LA! I love it when that happens. πŸ™‚

Yes, I love quotes too!! Actually I am a “quote collector” πŸ™‚ and enjoy finding and keeping new quotes that I uncover. I enjoyed reading through the quotes you posted – I hadn’t read those before (there going in my quote collection :).

    Here’s a few that I like:

    β€œCatch on fire with enthusiasm
and people will come for miles to watch you burn.”
    Charles Wesley

‘The will of God will never take you
where the Grace of God will not protect you.’
    Unknown

Keep running the race, sister!! I’m praying for you.

I used to collect quotes too but then when I needed them I could never find them…seems like I need to figure out a better system! Lol! Thanks for your prayers and and for sharing those quotes. Really enjoyed reading them. πŸ™‚

I thought the Winston Churchill quote was very good- I’m going to go write it down :)! My favorite quote is from no one in particular: ‘If you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you’ve always got!’

    Love the skirt and sweater!

    • misselaini August 21, 2011 at 11:58 pm #

I LOVE that quote you shared. So true… Glad you like the outfit!

I’m pretty sure that quote is from Alex Harris… πŸ™‚

      • misselaini August 24, 2011 at 12:38 am #

I have no idea where that quote came from but a lot of other individuals are given credit for that online.

        Nella Camille,

Alex Harris? Are you a homeschooler? πŸ˜‰ I am.

Some of my favorite quotes are:

“Every experience God gives us, every person He puts in our lives is the perfect preparation for the future that only He can see.” ~ Corrie ten Boom

“There is no pit so deep, that God’s love is not deeper still.” ~ Corrie ten Boom

“God sends people to interrupt us. We are God’s to serve others.” ~ Dietrich Bonhoeffer

I have other favorite quotes written down somewhere, but I can’t remember them at the moment. πŸ™

    Wait, remember another favorite quote:
“My memory is nearly gone; but I remember two things; That I am a great sinner, and that Christ is a great Saviour.” – John Newton (1725-1807)

Wow! Love, love, love today’s outfit and post! The outfit just makes me smile, and it’s coordinated so perfectly. Well done with the skirt. =) And those quotes really are inspirational. Thanks!

I do the same thing with the thrifted skirts I find! It’s a great way to exercise your creativity (and those sewing skills) while saving money.
By the way, what’s the word on making the dress (or pattern) available for us readers?

    • misselaini August 22, 2011 at 12:02 am #

Yes I wish I did it more often. It is so rewarding when something turns out. πŸ™‚
Hmm unfortunately I don’t think at this time we will be able to offer the dress but we may be able to sometime in the future. How’s that for an easy answer! πŸ˜‰ Lol!

  9. Nella Camille August 23, 2011 at 2:26 pm #

“God is at home. We are in the far country.” Meister Eckhardt. I love this quote about heaven! πŸ™‚

I love that you are still posting your outfits for the day (and your thoughts)! This outfit just struck me! Adorable! Great quotations as well! So glad to see the total still rising! It was great to meet you in person at Lee and Aaron’s wedding! Praying for you and all that the Lord is working through you!

    • misselaini August 25, 2011 at 12:06 am #

Deborah!!! HI! Happy you like the outfit. It was wonderful meeting you at the wedding. Too bad you don’t live here so we could hang out. Plus then I could get your style advice. πŸ™‚ Thank you for your prayers. They are a blessing. xxx
