{Day 130}

Can you believe I have been blogging for 130 days straight?Β  I can’t.Β  Actually I can because I’m a tad bit tired. πŸ™‚Β  Today I am off to the beach with my best friends (also known as my mum and dad).Β  I’m looking forward to squishing my toes in sand and getting chills from the cold water.Β  Looking out into the seeming endless expanse of water and watching the waves come methodically up on the beach always gives me a sense of how small I am.Β  And it’s a wonderful feeling.Β  This type of small is healthy because I get a tiny glimmer of how big my God is.Β  This infinite God holds me and loves me.Β  Living in the knowledge of that gives me such peace.

P.S.Β  My ten year old self wore this shirt…when we were in Greece 13 years ago I begged my dad to get this for me.Β  He did and I have worn it many times since then.Β  I love it.Β  I know it’s a bit childish but hey it makes me smile. πŸ™‚

UPDATE:Β  $35,264.45 going up a tiny bit. πŸ™‚

Some nights I peak out my window at the stars to help me remember just how big our God is . . . like you, it’s a good small feeling. I only wish my human self didn’t need reminding and that knowing the greatness of God was second nature.

    The t-shirt is great. πŸ™‚

I love that you do that! Looking at the stars always makes me amazed! And I too wish I didn’t always need reminding about how great our God is.
Glad you like the shirt. πŸ™‚

I love that you post everyday! It is so much fun to see that you are still raising money. Your outfits inspire me!

Phew! I’m not sure how much long I will be able to keep it up! Blogging every day is a LOT of work and I’m going to run out of new outfits sooner rather than later. πŸ™‚ That is very encouraging to hear that you like the outfits. πŸ™‚

Oh . . . one more thing . . . I just got back from taking a walk with my mom and brother. We wore warm jackets, scarves, and hats. πŸ™‚ It made me smile when I remembered you were headed for the beach today.

Where do you live!? We are just now getting nice weather…

      • Moriah Ortega September 8, 2011 at 4:36 am #

I live in northern Illinois. So, we are starting to get fall weather here – which means temps in the 60’s. The fall can actually be really beautiful here so long as its not too wet and cold. πŸ™‚ What’s the Oregon weather like now? You said it was just getting nice?

        • misselaini September 15, 2011 at 11:37 am #

The fall is usually beautiful here too. The weather here was really hot last week but I was out of town. Now it’s back to cool and cloudy…

Aw, that shirt is precious. There are some pieces of clothing that you just want to keep wearing forever.

I think it is so neat that your parents are your best friends, that is the way it should be. My best friends are my parents and my 5 siblings, and the cool thing about that is, your friends are always around!

I am glad to see the total still rising, even if it is slowly, sometimes the greatest things are accomplished in really small chunks. God is moving.

Yep it is wonderful having your friends around all the time. πŸ™‚
      Yep slowly but surely!

And you still fit into it after 13yrs! Doing pretty well, Elaini. πŸ™‚ Hhm, I feel the same way about the ocean most times.

    • misselaini September 15, 2011 at 12:18 pm #

Well it was a bit big when I got it. πŸ™‚ Yes the ocean is amazing.

It makes me feel better that I’m not the only one who still fits clothes I had when I was 10. πŸ™‚

Haha! Yeah I think this is the only item I have that still fits from anywhere near that age!
