Today marks a very significant day in American history. It has been a decade since the attack on our country and the World Trade Centers crashing to the ground. As I spend time with loved ones today I am reminded of the courage some people had that day to lay down their lives for others. I am grateful to them and their families as well as for the men and women who daily serve our country. I am blessed…
Today’s quotes are on courage…
Courage is contagious. When a brave man takes a stand, the spines of others are often stiffened. ~ Billy Graham
Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgement that something else is more important than fear. ~Ambrose Redmoon
Courage is almost a contradiction in terms. It means a strong desire to live taking the form of readiness to die. ~G.K. Chesterton
1 Corinthians 16:13 NIV
Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong.
Needed to hear that. Thank you!
So true, I love all of those quotes. Courage is something that we as Christians should never be lacking in, since we have the promise of eternity, what do we have to fear?
How funny that you are wearing that outfit! I wore a very similar dress to church today. I guess white is in today.
Yes “perfect love casts out fear.”
I love white/cream dresses even if it IS after Labor Day….
Those quotes are SO true. I love the last one. Courage is to be ready to die. Wow. I never thought of it that way. Thanks so much for posting those! I feel so sad about all the people who died exactly 10 years ago. It also makes me happy that some people would lay down their lives for others. It also makes you think: Would you be the person to risk your life, and maybe lose it, for another or the person who only thinks about getting yourself to safety? I would probably think only about myself. Sad, but true.
I like this outfit. Wear did you get that dress????
Thanks again!

Yes events like that make us ask hard questions. And that’s good…
This is a vintage dress a friend gave me. I really like wearing it. 🙂
Dear Elaini,
Yes I did hear about that crash at the retreat yesterday
it’s so sad that so many innocent lives were ended that day
think of all those people oh it’s such a sad thing. Yes the courage of
all those brave firefighters and police men that died trying to save those
people brave brave men. Many happy Christ filled days to you!

It is always tragic when lives are taken like that….
